There was one lower target for Apple's shares that would happen on the 1st of April, so who knows

if they meant it?

We got an email alert from tip ranks on Monday that said that Luke Capital analyst Ananda Barua had dropped his firm's rating on Apple from hold to...

Actually they dropped it to hold. From whence we do not know. In fact, a piece from

Apple 3.0 said he was maintaining a hold rating. So dropped it where it was?

On the same day, that piece from Apple 3.0 and Apple Insider did have the analyst dropping his price target on the shares. Apple

Insider ran parts of his note, though they seem to have

gotten the new target wrong. Let's start with the party wrote. The problem is

iPhone in the analyst's estimation.

Simply put, says Berua's note,

iPhone unit shipments are simply too soft,

owing to both organic demand, but also to competition.

Man, he makes it sound so simply.

According to the report, the analyst thinks people may have been expecting too much from the March

quarter and that they are definitely expecting too much from the June
