| 0:00.0 | Well, hello, listeners. It's Anthony here, and today I will be leading our discussion. I am joined, of course, again, by Alexander and Jacob. |
| 0:16.0 | Hi, this is Alexander. And this is Jacob. |
| 0:21.6 | Yeah, as we continue to look at Wrong Station, as it was, as it is, and how it may be. |
| 0:28.6 | Last time we gazed back at our previous nine seasons, chatted about how the show has changed and how it stayed the same. |
| 0:34.6 | We were looking at the show's face, the wrong station as you, |
| 0:38.6 | the listener, see and experience it. Today, though, we're going to get into the guts, |
| 0:43.5 | the terrible, bloated guts, and talk about what we've learned about making an audio drama. |
| 0:48.9 | Now, an important distinction here, this is not how to make an audio drama. This is some of what we've learned in the making of this particular show. |
| 0:57.0 | Although, you know, if you want to throw some generalities my way later, you know, we can get into a little bit of the nitty gritty. |
| 1:05.0 | There are many ways to make an audio drama, as there are many different genres and subgenres within this medium. |
| 1:11.6 | Which takes me to my first train of thought, because I think this is something that |
| 1:16.6 | stops or slows a lot of people who would otherwise be creating art from making it, which is |
| 1:21.6 | that we did not know when we made it that Bronx Station would be a successful show. |
| 1:26.6 | And we did not make it with the intent of being a success. You know, however you wanted to find that. We made wrong station, you know, as we talked about last time, because we wanted to. The genre interested us, the medium interested us. We certainly wanted to make the show as well as we could at the time, and hope that people would enjoy it, but we would have been |
| 1:45.0 | okay if it hadn't, and we would have learned some lessons and moved on to the next project. |
| 1:49.8 | But you know, what do you two guys think of that? As it applies either to all art or specifically |
| 1:54.6 | to our show or in the projects that you guys have worked on, whether it's the TV shows |
| 2:00.0 | you've worked on or Alexander, |
| 2:01.9 | you've written a book, you're working on another book. Is making the thing itself a success |
| 2:07.6 | to be celebrated? Jacob. Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, maybe we're getting right |
| 2:14.1 | out of the gate a little bit philosophical, but you have one life. |
| 2:18.3 | And if there's something you want to make, you should make it because you will not get another chance to make it after this life is over. |
