excited about the guests that we have with us because he's one of my favorite historians

in the entire world. I read everything that he writes and it's fascinating because it's so

wide-ranging in terms of in terms of sometimes I'll pick up a book or an article on an issue I didn't

even know I was interested in and by the time I'm 10% of the

way through I'm passionate about that issue or that historical figure and that's

Dr Thomas S. Kidd who is is a history prophet at Baylor University, the James

Vardaman endowed professor of history there.

And he's the associate director of Baylor's Institute for Studies of Religion.

He's written a lot, and you will have seen his work in Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal,

and he has several books that are coming out over the next year or so.

And I want to talk about some of those issues today.

One of those is about America's religious history, faith, politics, and the shaping of a nation, and the other is who is an

evangelical, the history of a movement in crisis.

And so these of course are very relevant topics to our time right now.
