In this episode of Signposts, I am joined by author and advocate Kay Warren, who is the co-founder with her husband Rick of Saddleback Church in Irvine, California. She has been a tireless advocate for those living with mental illness, HIV & Aids, as well as orphans and vulnerable children. In this conversation, we talk about mental illness, loss, and the way that Kay processed the grief of losing her son, Matthew, to suicide. I hope that our conversation can be an encouragement to those in the midst of loss or those ministering to the grieving. 0:55.8	one of my heroes and has been for a long time Kay Warren. She and her husband Rick
1:01.5	trekked out to California. I don't know how many years ago, a while back.
1:06.5	Next year will be 40. 40, wow! And planted Saddleback.
1:11.1	We were babies. It planted Saddleback Church there and of course you are familiar with
1:17.3	Kay's work ever since then in so many different arena she's written books books. She has worked on behalf of people with
1:26.2	HIV and AIDS around the world. She's worked a lot in an area where I first came to know her in the areas of orphan care and
1:35.6	adoption and foster care and so forth and that was one of the things and Kay I
1:41.8	think about this all the time and I think about it just
1:45.5	about every time I think about evangelism was a time that you and I were together
1:50.1	with a group of people who were working in child welfare, but none of them were
1:54.3	Christians at that point and the way that you loved people represented Christ, people
2:01.6	were asking you questions and the way that you answered this.
2:04.3	It was just really an inspiration to me when it comes to sharing the gospel.
