On today's program, we'll talk with Democracy Now's Amy Goodman.

She was arrested in 2016 while covering the Dakota Access pipeline protests.

But she says, it's not about her.

I didn't take this arrest warrant personally.

It was a message sent to all journalists do not come to North Dakota, which is exactly why we

had to be there. And we're joined by Kenneth Kimmel of the Union of Concerned Scientists. He

says that despite nonstop disaster headlines, the media still isn't doing enough to connect the dots

between weather

and climate change. People are still not really getting that it's affecting them right now.

Not 20 years, not 50 years right now. They're going to pay for all of this. We're all going to pay

for all this. And the media really needs to do a much better job of explaining that.
