On January 31st, 2019, a young boy found a body in a case that maybe is connected to the suicide of an unrelated woman.

So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder.

Before we start today's story, I need to relay some information about its main player.

This story centers around an individual referred to in sources as either Ellie or Eli Washtalk.

This person was gender non-conforming, and it's unclear which name they went by at the time

the crime took place and what pronouns they used.

So for today, we are going to use they-them pronouns and the most common name amongst the sources,

Eli.

In 2019, when the story takes place, Eli Wash Talk was 38 years old and living in a condo in St. Augustine, Florida, had a

background in auto mechanics, and had both a son and a daughter. Mostly keeping to themselves,

Eli moved to Washington from Wisconsin, and at the time, their son was living in a different condo

just downstairs.

But on the night of January 30th, 2019, and into the morning of the 31st, Eli was home alone.

At around 7.30 a.m. on the 31st, Eli's son, just 15 years old, called 911 to report that his father had been shot.

Mentioning that the shots were fired through the wall and that Eli's firearm, a 9mm was at the scene, the son was then asked by the dispatcher what he was seeing inside of the home.

Asking if Eli took his life intentionally, the son answered that he did not believe so
