Summary

In today’s episode, I sit down with Matthew Mills, the CEO and chairman of Med-X, a company built on replacing toxic pesticides with natural, science-driven solutions. Matthew shares how years of research, agricultural licensing, and real-world testing helped his team create commercial grade products that reduce everyday exposure to harmful chemicals found in schools, parks, hospitals, and even our homes. We talk about the global demand for safer options, the early resistance they faced, the growth of Nature-Cide, and how MedX is expanding into lifestyle products without taking on debt. This conversation offers a clear look at innovation, persistence, and a mission centered on long-term well-being.

Welcome to Entrepreneurs the Playbook. I'm David Meltzer, and we are back with an incredible CEO,

0:05.8

the CEO at MedX, Matthew Mills. I love the double M's. Welcome to the Playbook.

0:10.9

Hey, thanks for having me.

0:12.8

M&Ms are very important to me. All of my kids are Eminem's. I have a special place in my heart.

0:19.2

And it seems that the M&Ms of the world are making the world a better place.

0:22.7

And that's what MedX is doing as well and making it simpler, safer, and more effective pesticides,

0:30.3

which I think a lot of people don't realize the unbelievable damage that pesticides are doing. And this over time has shown to be a great

0:42.2

danger to our children, especially, who play in the grass and play outside. But everyone,

0:49.2

why don't we just start with the actual problem that exists that most people don't know about when it comes to

0:55.2

the pesticides that are used today? Well, the problem's everywhere, David, and I mean everywhere.

1:01.7

I mean, everywhere you go. Doesn't matter where you are. You could be walking down the street

1:06.4

in a park and it's, you know, pesticides all over the ground. Walking dogs is something that, you know,

1:13.5

the life expectancy of a dog has dropped dramatically, and I mean dramatically. Dogs are getting

1:21.9

cancer left and right. There's some chatter out there that 70% of dogs are passing away of cancer rather than just to

1:31.7

living their long life because of dog walks and other things that, you know, an owner is taking

1:38.9

their dog on. But it's everywhere. It's in your classroom. It's in the supermarket. It's, you know, it's in the air. In some

1:45.7

cases, it's in the air we breathe. I mean, I'm doing some trials in Florida next week,

1:50.4

and they spray malafia on overpopulation over millions of people. And it's, you know, it's a daily

1:57.6

thing. So everywhere you go, it doesn't matter where it is.

2:02.3

Even hospitals, you know, you would think, oh, this is the cleanest place in the world.

2:06.4

But you didn't realize that, you know, a week ago, they were spraying some sort of poison, you know, in the corners.

2:13.0

And it's there.
