Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of Sleep and Relax ASMR.

So we thought it'd be nice to introduce a different voice and to have a listener contribute to the show.

Hello everyone and we're going to pick back up in our reading of the Christmas Carol.

Last time we had started in the first chapter of Marley's Ghost and we're going to pick back up in that chapter and I will read just a little bit before where we left off just to catch us all back up.

So let's get started on Marley's Ghost chapter one and we had just left off

with Scrooge being in his house getting ready to meet

Marley's Ghost. Quite satisfied he closed his door and locked himself in, double locked himself in, which was not his custom.

Thus secured against surprise, he took off his cravit, put on his dressing gown and slippers, and his night cap, and sat down before the fire to take his gruel.

It was a very low fire indeed, nothing on such a bitter night. He was obliged to sit close to it and brood over it, before he could extract the least sensation of warmth from such a handful of fuel.
