Every worldview has to answer the question, what is the thing or the entity or the process

from which everything else came?

Darwinism and its affiliated theories and sub-theories has been a crucial part of the support

for the worldview of naturalism or scientific naturalism.

The idea that the universe is eternal and self-existing and self-organizing, therefore, there

is no need for an external creator or designing intelligence of any kind.

It's awfully nice to be with you, Matt.

Yeah, so evolution, it's one of those hot-button words that people on all sides can very quickly get pretty riled up about.

I'm sure you've experienced that. You've seen that dynamic. And I think one of the tricky things about it, though, is that people mean different things by that word when they use it. It's kind of a somewhat vague word

when you really get into it. And so I guess as a place to start, what do you mean by the word

evolution, just that one word when you use it? Well, I don't use it in a singular sense.
