Summary

Here's what is true; we are all going to go in the fire at one point or another. We will face seemingly insurmountable obstacles and immovable mountains. Life will not go according to our plans, and we will find ourselves in a furnace, wondering how long we can stand the fire. That is until we remember that we are not standing on the flames themselves. We are fixed upon that sure foundation, the cornerstone of Jesus. He is our rock, our living stone. This is good news because standing on a living rock means we are never alone. He is in the fire with us. And while Jesus is with us in the trials, guess who is watching Him work… the whole world.

0:30.0	It's not so much that we're worshiping the Bible.
0:33.0	We're just recognizing that it's alive today.
0:36.0	And in these few weeks together, we're journeying through this book of 1 Peter,
0:41.0	asking God to bring it to life in us.
0:45.0	So Lord, we do just come again today and thanksgiving.
0:49.0	Thank you that we're not just left up to whatever somebody says about our lives,
0:55.0	but we have your word.
0:59.0	I ask you about the power of your spirit.
1:02.0	Would you stir it up in us today?
1:07.0	I know sermons can only do so much, but your word brings the dead to life.
1:19.0	So will you allow this word to do what you send it to do today to complete
1:25.0	and every one of us who are under it and in it today to fully do all of that in our hearts?
1:34.0	And we're trusting you to do it in Jesus' name, amen.
1:39.0	1 Peter is an encouragement to people who are in the fire.
