When I have guests on my podcasts, I read their books to work out questions for the episodes.

When reading these books, I always find such amazing information that never makes it into the podcast.

And here, I get a chance to give you a peek into the book.

I've put a link to the book in the show notes, and I did seek permission to record this

extract, and the author kindly said yes. So I'm going to read from chapter two, which is titled

The Room of Hearts Desires, and we joined Susan when she was a small girl and she was trapped in a

freezer, and this is how her near-death experience started.

Breathe slowly and stop screaming, Susie, the lights continued to say in their gentle warm way.

I was still attempting to wriggle out of the freezer, but I was growing tired, and the lights

felt more and more welcoming. Sensing my growing trust, they slowly came closer to me. I couldn't

deny that their loving radiance felt so nurturing and safe, like a mother, which is all I wanted

this whole time, my mummy.

The lights presented themselves as a surrogate, and I eventually surrendered to their embrace.

I was so tired after such a long fight.

As my mind lost consciousness, my soul began to feel as if I were dreaming.

I will never forget this feeling of being guided by forces that were assisting me in crossing over.

It was as gentle as a child being led by their mummy.
