| 0:00.0 | Welcome to life, death, and the space between. When I originally received the request for today's |
| 0:06.7 | podcast guest, I figured we'd be talking about death and how to approach your life more consciously |
| 0:14.3 | because today's guest, Dr. Katie Deming, is a conscious oncologist. That's what she calls herself. And I thought, okay, so we'll |
| 0:23.9 | talk about how we're more conscious in our lives, how that perhaps helps us, helps prevent |
| 0:29.7 | cancer and other illnesses from manifesting in our body. But the conversation took a whole different |
| 0:37.3 | turn. And part of the reason took a whole different turn. |
| 0:38.4 | And part of the reason it took that different turn was because the week before I was on |
| 0:42.3 | her podcast. |
| 0:43.7 | And she opened up and shared with me something that she shares very judiciously. |
| 0:50.8 | And it does have the possibility of really changing the trajectory of how she practices. |
| 0:58.1 | So I think you all will love to hear this perspective from a traditionally trained medical |
| 1:05.0 | Western doctor and how she is incorporating her psychic abilities in her practice. |
| 1:12.8 | So with that, here is today's episode of life, death, and the space between. |
| 1:25.9 | Welcome, Dr. Katie Deming. |
| 1:29.2 | Thank you so much, Amy. It's so nice to be here. |
| 1:32.4 | So you and I spoke last week, I think it was, with a little podcast swap. |
| 1:38.4 | But first, let's talk a little bit about what it means to be a conscious oncologist. |
| 1:45.8 | Sure. So my practice is the closest thing that I would describe it to as an integrative practice, |
| 1:52.4 | so an integrative or holistic approach to treating cancer. And my experience is I spent 20 years in Western medicine as a |
| 2:03.5 | radiation oncologist and as a health care leader. And then I had a metaphysical experience. |
| 2:09.3 | We'll probably talk about that basically made me see that what we were doing in Western medicine |
| 2:15.3 | was broken and that that model was not true healing. |
