So we have wanted to talk about cameos for a long time.

We are fascinated by them.

We are confused by them.

They run the gamut from the sublime to the ridiculous.

If you're not familiar with cameo, it's a surreble.

It's a service where you pay a celebrity, whether it's an extremely famous person or a

modestly famous person, some amount of money to record a personalized video message.

Maybe you get them to wish somebody happy birthday, happy anniversary, just say hi, whatever.

There are people whose cameos cost thousands of dollars and hundreds of dollars and tens

of dollars.
