Welcome to the Bone Yard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday evening edition of the yard. I've been kind of waiting and waiting and waiting. We had some commitments we're expecting today. Still waiting on one that may happen during the show. We're going to break down a pretty wild weekend in Stark Vegas. A very successful weekend for Coach Jeff Leby and his staff.

And, of course, we pick up another baseball portal transfer commitment today.

Probably our best to date in many respects.

But, yeah, things are moving.

Things are moving, shall we say.

Big Newsday at Starkville today, too, is Victoria Vivians.

He's headed home to be an assistant basketball coach at Mississippi State I love this move by Sam Purcell

because it number one it bridges the gap from the present to the glory past

right if anybody understands what it takes to win and win big at Mississippi State, it's Victoria

Vivians, who was part of some of the greatest teams, not just in Mississippi State history,

but in SEC history.

Of course, played for a back-to-back NAFEL championships.

Couldn't get it done, but this is a great move and it's in the right direction.

And I want to commend Sam Purcell for that.

The mood has been very, very well received, as one would imagine.

And I think so much of that is just because of the fact that,

you know, Victoria is one of the most special players in the history of the Mississippi

State Women's Basketball program.

And I think the edge and energy that she brings to the staff will be very, very good.

She has credibility within the locker room.

She knows what it means to win in a Southeastern conference and in the highest level of the NCAA tournament.

And she also is a player that turned down multiple opportunities to leave the state to stay home.
