Ahead of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, an upcoming documentary tells the incredible story of the

2nd Ranger Battalion that took on one of the most

dangerous missions of World War II, the assault on Puanta Hawk. On the shores of Western France,

on June 6, 1944, this group of daring rangers risked their lives to take out German cannons,

braving the cold, rough waters, storming the beaches,

and scaling the hundred-foot cliffs while the Germans were firing down on top of them.

I'm joined now by Tim Gray, filmmaker behind this new documentary, D.J. at Ponto Hock, where he shares

the untold stories of these brave soldiers and

rangers. We looked at it as an opportunity to do it differently. And one of the things that we did is

we hired the best drone crew in France. And we said, spend three days on Pointe to Hawk and film it

from a drone perspective and then rent a boat and then go off of Pointe to Hawk and film it from a drone perspective and then rent a boat and then go

off of Point to Hawk and film it from the English Channel like it would have been on D-Day, June 6,
