Excited by this episode, we have Terima Kalev, the governor of Virginia.

We have Nikita Oliver, who's running to be the mayor in Seattle.

And we have Andy Slavitt joining us again to give us an update on where we are with healthcare.

And it's the first time that the four of us have all been in the same room to do the news.

Me, Sam, Brittany and Clint, we're all recording the news together this week in person, which is exciting.

Now, before we jump in, I'll just say one word about how systems come apart.

How systems came together.

So, I'm reminded that we didn't get here overnight, that we didn't get to this deep injustice in one day,

or one week, or one year, or one decade, or one century.

That this is the accumulation of decisions that were made by people.

And that systems rarely break all at once, but they often break in pieces.

And part of our work as organizers and citizens as activists is to understand and identify what those pieces are,

to have the most impact and work to change them.

Because we know that when one piece falls and another piece falls and another piece falls,

that that is how systems change and that we build when things come down.

Now, I say that because there's some people who feel like because the world has not changed today,

and the way they wanted to, or tomorrow, and the way that they wanted to, that the work is for not.

But when we understand that we are a part of a long legacy of struggle,

that pushes and prides and changes and builds and pieces,

I think that helps us think about the work more strategically.
