Hello, it's been 98 days now since Russian forces invaded Ukraine.

And overnight, there has been a development

because a chemical plant in the eastern Ukrainian city

of Severed Donetsk has been hit.

It's been widely blamed on Russia, but Russia is denying it.

And there is footage of the aftermath of this strike.

And what you can see in the still sky is this huge orange,

I mean, looks like orange candy floss against the gray sky.

And it's barely moving.

And these, presumably, this smoke, this cloud, Vitaly,

is mixed up with toxic fumes.

Reports say that it was a huge tank containing nitric acid

that was hit.

And this factory, the chemical factory,

is one of the largest in Ukraine, if not the largest.

So the threat to the local population is very grave.

And the local authorities have told people to stay indoors

and make face masks saturated with a mixture of soda

to prevent damage to their lungs.

These are very crude homemade gas masks, respirators,

basically, which reminds me of the stuff
