0:45.3 | Now, let's go to New York, and let's see how many people voted in the last election for mayor. |

1:05.0 | And you cannot blame them because people are tired of politicians |
1:10.0 | and people are tired of other people using the data that they have generated |
1:13.6 | to communicate with their friends and family to target political propaganda at them. |
1:18.6 | But the thing about this is that this is not new. |
1:21.6 | Nowadays, people use likes to target propaganda at you |
1:24.6 | before they use your zip code or your gender or your age. |
1:28.3 | Because the idea of targeting people with propaganda |
1:30.3 | for political purpose is as old as politics. |
1:33.3 | And the reason why that idea is there |
1:35.3 | is because democracy has a basic vulnerability. |
1:39.3 | This is the idea of a representative. |
