I'm a hard-working guy, that's a lift in my spirits.

The man's face for confirmation has made a man's face to really think about defining freedom.

That's Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris extending slavery by a minimum of 150 years or so,

somehow or other, and boring those poor children even as she misinformed them.

Well, and one of the knocks on her, and this comes from Democratic circles.

This is not just a Republican talking point. One of the knocks on Kamala Harris is that she's lazy.

She doesn't ever prepare for anything. She just wings it.

It's worked pretty well for her. She's ended up the first female vice president in our nation's history.

But you can hear her winging it every time she speaks. You can tell she's winging it.

She does that thing where she nods. I've laid it on your hair at the end of every sentence.

She's just got nothing. But anyway, I think we pretty well established that Kamala Harris is,

as they used to say, a mediocrity. But she was speaking to the kids on Juneteenth, a national holiday.

And there is a fair amount of cynicism around Juneteenth that people mostly don't say out loud.

Or they say it very carefully. Because, and let's deal with this squarely,

it's seen by a lot of people as a hastily declared holiday in the wake of the killing of George Floyd

and the rioting and the burning and the looting and the righteous protesting.

I mean, for all of George Floyd's imperfections as human being, he appeared to die in terrible fashion under the knee of a cob.

If you didn't watch that and your soul cry out for mercy, I mean, you just, you don't have a human soul.

So what's interesting about this holiday is I think both sides are kind of right.

I've been aware of Juneteenth for a very long time, probably just because I've read voraciously since I was a little kid.
