She's just got nothing. But anyway, I think we pretty well established that Kamala Harris is,

as they used to say, a mediocrity. But she was speaking to the kids on Juneteenth, a national holiday.

And there is a fair amount of cynicism around Juneteenth that people mostly don't say out loud.

Or they say it very carefully. Because, and let's deal with this squarely,

it's seen by a lot of people as a hastily declared holiday in the wake of the killing of George Floyd

and the rioting and the burning and the looting and the righteous protesting.

I mean, for all of George Floyd's imperfections as human being, he appeared to die in terrible fashion under the knee of a cob.

If you didn't watch that and your soul cry out for mercy, I mean, you just, you don't have a human soul.

So what's interesting about this holiday is I think both sides are kind of right.

I've been aware of Juneteenth for a very long time, probably just because I've read voraciously since I was a little kid.
