cancer. Being able to have a simple blood drawn for screening for colon cancer and perhaps in the

future other cancers as well, we'll have the potential of reaching folks that we've never

reached before. We'll hear from an expert at Fred

Hutch Cancer Center who co-authored a new study. But first, let's get you caught up.

King County Council's Law and Justice Committee meets today to weigh whether or not to end

juvenile detention in the

county. The Zero Youth Detention Initiative would end jail time for minors by 2025. There's only one

youth detention center in King County located in Seattle. We'll get an update on Seattle's quest

to revitalize downtown today.

Visit Seattle will present 2023's tourism data in front of the newly reopened SIF Cinema downtown.

We'll find out just how many people visited our fair city and how much money they spent.

And library patrons heads up.

All branches of the Seattle Public Libraries are closed today for staff development. But don't fear bookworms. They'll be back open tomorrow. That's it for now.
