Hey, friends, welcome back to the Wild at Heart podcast.

Before we jump into what would be our normal show and our formats and welcome and the introduction of our guests this week,

I just have to acknowledge that here in America, we've just come through a pretty acrimonious presidential election.

And here's my concern that I want to share with you.

Prior to the election, a couple weeks out,

I was listening to a commentator who was reflecting on,

due to the instability of the world that we live in and due to the breakdown of so many confidence,

breakdown of confidence in so many social institutions,

he was forecasting that for many people, however the election went,

it would be a serious mental health crisis. And my concern is this, that for some people,

it is almost a kind of trauma. I don't mean you exaggerate that, but they are shaken profoundly.

And for other people, there is a kind of euphoria or sort of triumph, neither of which

are grounded in our life in Christ.

And so all I want to say to you is that however you are reading the times,

however you are reacting to the outcome of the U.S. election,

whether you're in the U.S. or around the world,

because it has global implications,

ground yourself in the love of God.

Ground yourself in the story of God.

That politics has never been your savior.

And it's important.

Significant things are happening. I'm not denying that. But we don't want to be those
