Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York show.

If you've ever listened to this, you know it's the no chit chat podcast we don't like to just sit around

and gab about things we want to get right to it that said today I have to say why I've been gone for so long.

If you've been noticing, my last podcast was February the 5th,

and today is July 29th. February the was covering the presidential primaries.

We had Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

And so there was plenty to do then.

But the bigger thing is, I've been writing a book. I have used a lot of the coronavirus

shutdown to hole up and work on a book.

And the book is called Obsession.

It's published by Regnery.

And I'll tell you a little bit about it.

It's going to be published on September the 8th.

That will be its publication date.

And it is about the long effort to remove President Trump from office. This long effort from

the beginning of the Mueller investigation all the way through the end of impeachment.

And I was originally approached to write a book about impeachment.

And I said, OK, I'll do that. There will be a bunch of books about impeachment, but perhaps I'll have something to add to it.

And so I'll do a book about impeachment.

And as time went by, not a lot of time actually, it became

clear that it didn't make any sense to do a book about the Ukraine affair and the events that led to the

impeachment of the president because it had been going on a long time it didn't start with Ukraine it didn't
