Hello and welcome back to the prologs podcast. My name is Mary. I'm so happy you've tuned in. I have a lot of really important things to share with you today.

Some of them might be quite surprising, but I am just so grateful that you've chosen to tune in today and listen to me talk a little bit,

especially because this is going to be the last time that we're sitting down and chatting together in a while.

Before I get into the announcement, which

if you listen to last week's episode, especially the end, you probably know what I'm going to say

already. But before we get into that, I just want to say hi to you guys, chat a little bit. I just

got back from an event, actually. I was invited to this event celebrating a new cocktail menu at Bar Prince, the Belmoral.

And I thought it was going to be like a happy hour type situation.

So I was expecting to go for maybe an hour, see a few faces, have a few chats, and then head

home early.

It was actually more of a seated affair.

Instead of just celebrating the new cocktails, we were

actually sitting down and having all of the new cocktails. So I was out a little bit later than I

thought I was going to be. And I definitely had a few more drinks than I thought. And I knew I was

going to come home and record this podcast. So I really apologize if I'm not, if I'm a little more giggly than perhaps I would be, especially because

we're talking about something kind of big, like something kind of serious. I'm feeling in a

great mood after that event, feeling so good today. I've been doing pretty well recently,

just enjoying the time of year, enjoying the quieter city, enjoying the weather. One thing that I love

about living here is that granted, we don't get a really distinct warm summer, but that means that

fall is perfect. It's crispy, it's cool. There's this air of excitement because when the students

come back to the uni, like Edinburgh is a big university city, and so when the students come back to the uni, like Edinburgh is a big university
