Let's pray together.

Father, I ask that a special weight would rest upon us now as we approach your word and holy things.

It's too much triviality and trifling with the word in our day and with the church and

the mission of the church. with the

church and mission of the church, much fluff.

And we want to know the meaning of the weight of glory.

This slight momentary affliction is working for us an eternal weight of glory.

But we look not to the things that are seen,

but to the things that are unseen.

Well, the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

And so I ask, Father, that you would come and give our hearts eyes sight of unseen glory

so that it breaks in upon us with self-evidencing

irresistible force to quicken life where there's death and light

where there's darkness and joy where there's sadness and joy, where there's sadness and encouragement, where our spirits are downcast,

and hope where there's despair and courage, where there's fear and

timidity.

There are a thousand things you mean to do in this room

beyond what I can think to ask. And so I simply to do exceedingly abundantly abundantly

abundantly beyond all that I can ask

to make this an immeasurable moment in our lives.

Glorify your name and satisfy our hearts, I pray, and advance the cause of your great purposes to exalt Christ in this world. Help me now Lord. Bring to my mind those things would be most

helpful to say and cancel out anything that would be hurtful guard me from error.
