of Reading movement is ensuring that pre-service teachers get the proper training.

Today's guest has a thought-provoking vision for how schools and

universities can better collaborate. Her name is Dr. Karen Betts, and she is an assistant

professor of literacy and coordinator of reading science programs for Clipsch Educators

College at Marion University in Indianapolis. At Marion, Dr. Betts launched a master's degree in reading science, the first of its kind in the state of Indiana.
