Welcome to our Friday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today is the end of my first week teaching on a better way to pray.

I tell you prayer has to be an important part of any person's relationship with God.

You know, you don't just come to the Lord, get your sins forgiven, and then say,

buy, I'll see you in eternity.

You need to have a relationship with the Lord, and you can't do that without prayer,

which is just basically communion with God.

But before I can teach on what prayer is, and I've got a lot of things to say that have just changed my life,

I'm taking the approach that Jesus took in Matthew chapter 6,

and he started coming against the religious way that people were praying.

They were just reciting prayers, they were praying on the street corner,

having people blow trumpets to draw everybody attention to them,

and man, Jesus just attacked it.

So that's what I've been doing.

I've been trying to plow them around, to uproot the bad stuff that's been sown,

the traditions, and doctrines of man,

and then we're going to start getting into what prayer really is.
