This special life teaching on a better way to pray was recorded at our 2019 Texas

Gospel Truth seminar and now here's Andrew. He was fighting cancer and he was getting better and better and better, but it was a process.

And then all of a sudden he just tanked and in a week or so he died.

And everybody thought, well God didn't answer our prayers what happened

and I just stood and I said look I don't know what happened but it wasn't God that failed

and at his funeral his wife got up and read in his diary and on a certain day he wrote in his diary,

he says, I know I'm getting better, I know I'm going to beat this, but he was 70-something years old and he says, it's a battle.

And he says, why am I fighting so hard? I'm ready to go home to be with the Lord.

And he says, I'm quitting, and I'm just going to go home to be with the Lord but he

wrote he says I know that nobody will understand and so I'm going to continue to say

that I'm believing God for healing because I don't want to deal with the criticism but he wrote it in his diary so that after he was gone people would see why he died and you don't always know what's going on in a person.

But there's always a reason, and it's not God who fail.

God is faithful, faithful, faithful.

And so some of you who may be have prayed for a person and you've seen a person die and you say, well, why did this happen? God fail. You don't know what was going on. There's so many things involved. I used to minister in nursing homes when I first got started.

And I remember this one lady in particular, she was a Methodist pastor's wife and she was just a mover and a shaker you know she was the most

popular woman in the town back when she was young but when she got old nobody

came to see her nobody ever visited this woman and I was the only person that

would go in and see her. And she would always be dressed, I mean to the nine, she always dressed nice,

always had her hair fixed, but she just would sit there and cry all day long about

I used to be important. People used to, you know, honor me and stuff. And I wanted to pray for her and help her but this woman had

sown I don't know how to put this in the right way but she her identity was all in these external things it wasn't in the Lord and when she
