And now, here's Andrew. And then he says in verse six, and the Lord said,

hear what the unjust judge saith,

and shall not God avenge his own elect,

which cried day and night unto him,

though he bear long with them.

Some people take this as this is talking about

that God will avenge you, but he will bear along with you.

Sometimes it takes a long time, and you just gotta ask and ask and ask and ask. Sometimes it takes a long time and you just gotta ask

and ask and ask and ask.

Sometimes it takes a long time, but God will eventually answer you.

Well then you know, if that's the way you interpret this,

verse eight means it makes no sense at all.

It's talking about God will avenge his own elect,

which cry unto him day and not though he, this unjust judge, bear with them long time. God's not like that. God is going to avenge them speedily. You don't have to beg God and ask God over and over and over, but then the rest of the verse goes on to say, nevertheless, when the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

The problem isn't God's willingness to give.

It's not his ability.

It's our ability to believe.

We approach God as if he's an adversary.

We approach Him as if he doesn't want to answer our prayer.
