In Exodus chapter 32,

verse 20, in exodus chapter 32 verse 10 the lord said now therefore let me alone that my wrath may wax hot against

them and that i may consume them and i will make of thee a great nation boy there are some powerful

things here you know god is saying is saying, Moses, leave me

alone so that I can do what I want to do. Suddenly, he's saying, Moses, you have power

with me. And if you go to pleading with me and begging for mercy, you're going to keep me

from executing my wrath.

Boy, this is just, this is amazing that Almighty God would even take into consideration us.

But God is such a God of love. And he loved this man, Abraham.

He had made a covenant. He had told him that, man, I honor you and I bless you.

Not because Abraham deserved it.

Abraham was willing to let a man take his wife and commit adultery with her just so he could spare his own hide.

Abraham wasn't the most noble guy. I guarantee you if he was around today and if

he did something like that today, all of us would think he's a scoundrel. Abraham didn't do it just

once. He did it twice. Abraham made some serious mistakes, but God had given his word to him and he

honored that. God had put honor upon him and because of that God was saying Abraham

my covenant with you I have sworn and if you stand there you can stop me from doing what I really want to do.
