Chuck begins with prayer.

If it weren't for your grace, Lord, we wouldn't even be sitting here.

We wouldn't be participating in these things.

We wouldn't be smiling.

We wouldn't be feeling the peace and comfort that accompanies obedience.

We'd be out to lunch.

We'd be struggling to find our way. we'd be going southeast, when you'd be

pointing northwest, and we would be changing in the middle of the stream because we wouldn't

be comfortable and a half dozen other things we could name.

You're in charge, and we find great comfort in that.

And were it not for grace, we would really have made a mess of everything.

So thank you for overruling.

Thank you for demanding your way at those times when looking back,

we realize it was really best, even though it led Job into a life of loss. It led Joseph into a time in

prison. It led Paul to a place where he was stoned by those who didn't even understand.

It led Daniel to a den of lions.
