Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm continuing to talk about what's the difference between just being a believer in

the Lord Jesus and being a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And I wrote this little book on this.

I tell you, this is something that is not understood in the body of Christ.

Most people use the word believer or disciple interchangeably. And yet the main scripture that I've

been using for this is John chapter 8. Jesus spoke to the people who believed on him. And he said,

if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth

shall make you free. So Jesus right

there spoke to people who believed on him, but he said you aren't a disciple until you continue in the

word and get set free. So there's a difference between a believer and a disciple and God never called

us to make believers. He called us to make disciples.

And our failure to make disciples in the fact that we've only just emphasized being converted

has done a lot of negative things.

One of them is it's given a lot of people false security.

They think that just acknowledging that Jesus is the son of God and repeating a prayer

or going through some of the motions is all that there is to salvation when Jesus made it very
