Welcome to our Friday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

I started teaching this week about the difference between being a believer and a disciple.

And most people use those terms interchangeably, but there's a difference.

Jesus told the people who believed on him in John chapter 8 verse 31, he said to those who believed on him,

if you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed,

and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

So he made a clear distinction between a believer and a disciple.

I'm just going to be bold enough to say that there is a huge number of those people

who are Christians in name only. Those people are going to

split hell wide open because maybe they acknowledge that God exists, but they have never

committed their life to them. And this is one of the things that I've been saying this whole

week, that it's as simple as just believing and receiving. The thief on the cross did that

without any good works. But a person who has the opportunity and the knowledge from God's word,

faith comes by hearing God's word, if they have the opportunity and if they've heard the truth and yet they

rejected and just choose to go on living the way that they live, that's not true Christianity.

Did you know we had a president in the United States and the head of the House of Representatives,

the majority leader that claimed to be Catholics, and yet

they promoted abortion, and they even defended abortion up till birth.

And there are some places that actually have a rule in place that if a person intended an abortion and yet the baby was born

alive that you could just leave the baby there to die on his own. That's murder. It's murder
