Welcome to an all-new great moments in weed history. The story I'm about to unfurl is pretty wild, extremely weedy, and it's one that most people have never heard of, including my guest, this weed, my longtime cannabis colleague and close friend,

Mary Jane Gibson. Right off the top, yes, that's her real name. I've seen her driver's license

people. No more conspiracy theories. And yes, of course, she gets asked that all the time. She's named Mary Jane, and she writes about cannabis for Rolling Stone, Playboy, and Vox, among other fine publications.

Complex Magazine called her, quote, one of the 15 most powerful women in the weed industry.

I mostly just call her MJ, and we go way, way back to when we used to work together at High Times.

Say it with me back when it was cool.
