And there's something I recently learned that it's almost embarrassing to say that I should

0:05.2

have known this long ago.

0:07.3

And it relates to Gras, which stands for generally recognized as safe.

0:13.0

And this designation goes along with certain chemicals that are put out in our environment

0:18.2

and food, implying that it probably went through

0:20.9

a lot of different safety studies, right?

0:23.1

And it's regulated by the FDA.

0:25.6

0:54.7

a loophole is something that a company can use to avoid certain restrictions. And that's exactly

1:03.4

1:10.4

Despite other testing done by other

1:13.4

facilities, which is quite fascinating because many chemicals that are allowed in the U.S. are

1:18.5

not allowed in Europe. Yeah, and today I'm just going to talk about six of these poisons.

1:22.4

I mean chemicals that are generally considered as safe.

1:29.0

I like how they use the word generally.

1:31.5

So they don't have to be that specific about it.
