It's a psychedelic novel about panic. It's about Midwestern adolescence. It's a coming-of-age narrative. And the voice on the page is singular. Michael Cloon does a remarkable job creating the experience of teenage consciousness. He brings you into the mind of a troubled and a brilliant kid,

and he does so in a way that is entirely his own. So it was great to meet him and to talk with him,

and that conversation is coming up in just a moment.
