Welcome back to hashtag Sisters in Long with Jill Weinbanks, Barb McQuade, Joyce Vance, and me Kimberly Atkins' store.

But before we dive into the show, I was hoping to get a little advice from my sisters about something for the past several months that's been tough for me.

So as some of y'all who follow me on Twitter or Instagram may know during the summer my husband and I and our kids attempted to adopt a rescue dog who was absolutely adorable.

He's five years old, he's very sweet, but for a number of reasons we don't need to get into, he just was not a good fit for our home.

And after a few weeks we had to surrender him back.

The good news is we do know that he has been adopted. He is in a home.

But it was just an excruciating decision as somebody who loves pets, absolutely loves dogs. It was really tough to give them back.

And it was also really tough to figure out what to do on social media since I did post it.

I just deleted those posts and I haven't sent anything more. I don't know what else to say.

Because I still feel rather guilty even though I know it was the right decision.

I think I probably do fear judgment a little bit.

But now as we are considering trying again with another dog, now that I've healed a little bit I just want to get, you know, talk to you guys about what you've done when you've had difficult situations, especially those that other people knew about or that you talked about publicly.

And what wisdom you can give me as I try to get over the trauma of that last adoption and return.
