A year I am so happy to put in the rearview mirror.

With me I'm really happy to have Jennifer Rubin, Washington Post columnist, author most

recently of resistance, how women save democracy from Donald Trump and how they're going

to have to keep doing it.

I think, it's so good to see you.

I really appreciate you're being here in the middle of a holiday.

Nice to be here.

I must confess I've been a little bit unplugged.

And as soon as you do that and you become a civilian again, you sort of get some perspective

on life.

You know?

Yeah, I can only imagine.

You know, I have to do that actually because you know, and it's okay because I more than

talking about what's been going on, I kind of want to talk about where we've been and

maybe end with what we're looking forward to.

It has once again been something of a year.

I didn't think it was possible that for the third, well, no, since 2016, I didn't think

it was possible that I would still be in a position to say next year, it can't possibly

be worse.

And then have it be worse.

So I'd like to, I'd like to end that very bad cycle.
