| 0:02.9 | Today, the Bible Study podcast continues the study of Romans with Romans 10. |
| 0:15.8 | Welcome to the Bible Study podcast. |
| 0:17.9 | I'm your host, Chris Christensen. |
| 0:19.9 | As we jump back into the book of Romans, |
| 0:21.8 | we're again dealing with the issue of Christ as a sacrifice. And the author continues, |
| 0:29.1 | The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming, not the realities themselves. |

| 1:32.7 | Remember, he's writing to a Hebrew audience, and so he's writing to an audience that he's trying |
| 1:37.2 | to move from one system to the other. |
| 1:40.4 | He is potentially writing to people who are not yet Christian, but he is certainly trying to |
| 1:46.0 | emphasize where Christ is compared to this old sacrificial system. |
| 1:51.0 | And so he says, notice how that if it had worked, if the blood of goats, if the blood of bulls |
| 1:59.0 | had been sufficient to take away our sins, to take away our guilt, |
| 2:02.8 | then we would have stopped. |
