Since the May 9, 2021 murder of Tristan Bailey, the investigation has moved quickly.

A few weeks ago on the episode this is 14, I talked about the limited details made public and the outcry in their community, which has kept Tristan's murder firmly in the media.

We covered how on the morning of Mother's Day 2021 Tristan Bailey was found to be missing and police were alerted on that Sunday morning at around 10 a.m.

Security camera footage estimated her last known whereabouts and also identified that 14 year old Aiden Fuji had been walking with her in the early hours of the morning.

He was picked up and taken in for questioning, at which time he snapped the now infamous selfie from the back of the patrol car, flashing a peace sign and captioning it with a phrase asking if anyone had seen Tristan lately.
