0:52.8	He knows where you've come from. He knows why he's called you. He knows what he's placed on your plate. None of this has happened apart from him. All of this is part of his plan. Amen. Well, we find ourselves in Exodus 6, 14 through 30.

1:35.7	Now, in verses 14 through 30, you have this rather lengthy genealogy, which I won't read for you with all of the strange sounding Middle
1:48.2	Eastern names. But let me read the last couple verses. These are the Aaron and Moses to whom
1:57.1	the Lord said, bring out the people of Israel from the land of Egypt by their host.
2:02.7	It was they who spoke to Pharaoh King of Egypt about bringing out the people of Israel from
2:07.9	Egypt, this Moses, and this Aaron. On the day when the Lord spoke to Moses and the land of Egypt,
2:15.0	the Lord said to Moses, I am the Lord, tell Pharaoh
2:17.5	king of Egypt all that I say to you, but Moses said the Lord, behold, I am of uncircumcised
2:22.6	live. How will Pharaoh listen to me? Now here's what you need to understand about the biblical
2:29.7	genealogies. They have been recorded and preserved for us for a reason.
2:35.0	Genealogies are not something you should sigh at when you come across one and quickly run away from.
2:44.0	You should read genealogies like an archaeologist, through the bones because there are bones there,
2:53.3	looking for what you can learn about God and the people he chose to call to his work.
