Hello and welcome to another episode of page 94.

My name is Andrew Hunter Murray and I'm here in the I offices with Ian Hislop,

Adam McQueen and Helen Lewis.

We should probably start with the post office as that was the main

story on the cover and also inside the last mag. Ian you've had a couple of experiences

off the back of it. Not on Robert Peston's show. I mean other ones do. I think we really don't need to go there again. No, I mean you had Richard Brooks on the podcast last time explaining intelligently and well what the actual story is.

I just wanted to talk about the reaction A of our readers, which was fabulous.

They sent in an overwhelming amount of letters. It must be about 400 odd today, which is a lot for us.

That was incredibly gratifying and I just noticed that it was more letters than we got on the subject of our cover about

Gaza. I'm just just throwing that in obviously for reference. Were they

is divided? But there are a lot of Paul of venal fans out there, Wight Mr Defender?

Do you know, I think they're the silent majority?

So I'm not taking the praise too literally.

And on the subject of that, essentially I had a couple of encounters with postmasters and

mistresses in the course of talking about this which were just incredibly

affirmative because it's really nice that our readers who knew all along because

they'd followed us. That's incredibly pleasing. But I ran across a postmaster in one of the studios

who sent me a note afterwards. He said I didn't have time to explain

that the articles in the eye gave me something to show people, something that agreed

with what I was saying and something to use almost as a backup to my calls of innocent.

I can't stress what a difference it made over some of the worst years of my life.
