with that data. And just generally, what's up with running home server stuff? What's the good

process for doing that and all kinds of stuff? My name is Scott Tolensky. I'm a developer from Denver

I'm excited to talk about this.

I feel like we did a Synology home server show probably four years ago, and a lot has changed

since then.

And I feel like we're always talking about our home servers.

And we're like, we got to do a whole show laying it all out, especially this is,

this is going live during the holidays.

You got a little bit of time over the holidays.

Why not spend it installing virtual machines and bang in your head against the wall

to make stuff work?

Of course.

Yes. why not?

So the whole idea with this episode is we're going to first talk about like the hardware,

why you might even want a home server.

Do you also use it for backing up?

And then as well as like what software do you run on it?
