It is their first series loss since that ill-fated trip to City Field in New York back at the end of April.

Good little run by the Phil's there, but

they were unable to finish off the double-header sweep against the Cardinals after having a

big first inning lead. We'll talk about that. A concerning start by Aranola in the second game

of that double header, but of course a great start, another one from Jesus Lazzardo in the first

game of the double header. We'll also get to a little Pete Rose talk. I don't know if you guys

are Pete Rosed out yet, but I wrote something for the good fight this week. I'm also going to talk

with Jeff Kerr about the Phil's, Jeff, a great writer from CBS Sports Philadelphia, who covers

Eagles and Phillies, but we're going to talk to him about the Phil's here on this episode of Hitting Season.
