I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of Houston, Texas.

Around 9.30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020, Houston police got a frantic 911 call from 20-year-old

Sahara Irvin. She told police that she'd taken her two-year-old daughter Malia to the park in the

courtyard of her apartment complex earlier that morning. It was a little park in the center of

four large apartment buildings beside a fenced-in pool that was probably pretty nice at one point but

had clearly seen better days. While Malia was playing, Sahara says she walked inside her first floor

apartment just for a moment to make some breakfast for her boyfriend Travian. But when she came back out,

Malia was gone. Immediately this call turned into a no-holds barred,

all hands on deck search for the missing two-year-old. The police department was out, Texas

Equal Search came in, residents of the apartment complex were out and ready and this community

wasn't going to stop until they found her. I mean she couldn't have gone far, right? And they

were apartments all around. Certainly no one took her without anyone noticing and a two-year-old
