what's it really like to be an educational administrator? Welcome, Dr. Pardell. Thank you so much, Don, for having me. It is our pleasure.

Dr. Pudell, are you using your talents doing work that you love? You better believe it.

All right. We want to hear the whole story. Dr. Troy Pudel, coordinator of career readiness of the

Downington Area School District in Philadelphia

is a disruptor and thought leader in the education space. He creates innovative programs

for career exploration and soft skills education for the Downington Area School District

is the academic director of two rigorous pre-college summer programs and serves on multiple

non-profit boards. He's recognized as a leader in curriculum, instruction, and the application

of people analytics to education. Before we get into the day and the life part of your remarkable

story, take us into the backstory of Troy Padel, family of origin. Tell us where it all

started and give us some of the people and events and changes that have gotten to where you are today.

Wow. I think the best place to start is where I went to high school and spent my formative years.

I grew up a few miles north of New York

City in a small river town on the Hudson River called Dobbs Ferry. It was a really terrific

place to have your formative years. I mean, it was beautiful. People would come from all over

the world artists to paint the Palisades cliffs that were across from the Hudson River.

You said the Palisades Cliffs? Yeah. Yeah, they're just breathtaking and magnificent to see.
