1st Corinthians chapter 6 verses 9 and 10

or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Do not be deceived, neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters,

nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards,

nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Those are very sobering verses.

You read the language here, the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God.

And in case we miss it at the beginning, it comes back at the end.

These who continue in these sins will not inherit the kingdom of

God. And I emphasize continuing these sins because the Bible is not teaching here that someone who does something

sexually immoral will thus never enter the kingdom of God like that that goes against the whole gospel. All who

trust in Christ no matter what they have done, all who turn from their sin,

repent and believe in Jesus will be saved from their sin will be welcome to the

kingdom of God. In the words of Jesus to the thief on the cross, today you will

be with me in paradise. So faith in Jesus covers over sin. So we'll get to that
