I am so freaking excited about this episode to bring it to you.

We are so lucky that the teacher of my soil science 101

class at the New York Botanical Garden agreed to come on the

podcast today to help me break down what I've learned in class.

Her name is Dr. Anya Palzeva and she is so lovely, so smart, such a joy and we're so lucky that she entertained

my overly eager, nerdy brain in this conversation.

And Plan Friends, I'm going to be honest with you.

I talk a lot more in this episode than normal.

But it's just because it was so fun for me to relive class with her.

And I really just feel so empowered by all of the things that I'm

learning in these virtual courses that I'm taking with the New York Botanical Garden and

I just love talking about it with people and Billy is getting pretty bored of me.

So it was fun to nerd out with Anya and learn so much and I really hope that our conversation

helps you look at the soil that you're putting your plants in and the concept of drainage

differently and I hope that it gives you a broader deeper understanding of what these words actually mean.
