All right, guys, this week we're looking at Exodus 34 versus 6 and 7 where God describes

his own attributes. So yesterday we did a little foundational work by setting the context of

Exodus 34 by summarizing what we see in Exodus 32 and 33 and reading the first five

verses of Exodus 34. So let's go ahead and read Exodus 34 versus six and seven,

and we're going to be reading out of the Nazby 1995 edition. Then the Lord passed by in front of

him, in front of Moses, and proclaim the Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,

and abounding and loving kindness and truth, who keeps loving kindness for thousands, who forgives

iniquity, transgression and sin, yet he will by no means leave the guilty unpunished,

visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third

and fourth generations. So guys, in these two verses, God describes seven distinct attributes of himself.

verse 6 of Exodus 34, okay, is one of the most important verses in the Bible. God attributes,

So the fact that we get it that often lets us know how important it is. And the word used for
