We know from looking at muscle biopsy studies in human beings that when somebody gets off their bottom and stands up, it only takes less than two minutes, in fact, for the gene regulators to adapt at the muscular level,

And over the past couple of years, I've had a standing desk.

I took it up a notch and went for the treadmill desk that I'd seen

talked about and I'd been looking into this for quite a while and decided to go for it.

And granted, it does look a bit weird, especially for people when they see it at first glance

and don't understand what I'm doing with this treadmill and this standing workstation.

But it's not just because I'm completely gone crazy.

There is actual science behind this and some very good reasons for trying to get on your feet

and be moving a bit more, especially if you're in a situation where you're going to have

chronic periods of time where you're sitting down,

which was going to be me if I didn't have a standing desk because of the amount of time I was spending on a laptop working.
