With all the headlines around cyber attacks, there’s a lot of confusion and myths surrounding data security. Sometimes, the simplest explanation is the right one, and cybersecurity isn’t always as complicated as it seems. Human error and physical-world problems play a large role, and not all cyber attacks are created equal. Joining Evan to bust through some common myths is Taylor Barkley, Assistant Director of Outreach for Tech Policy at the Mercatus Center. Does cybersecurity really start with you?

four senators recently introduced a bill that would require a study of vulnerabilities in the power grid.

And that's important because a lot of times when you hear about cybersecurity fear and why people are worried about cybersecurity, it's not so much about the Sony hack or the IRS.

There's a lot of hacks that kind of jeopardize consumer data and

make identity theft easier. But the real concern that keeps like the NSA awake at night,

that keeps the Army awake at night is power grid or the internet getting completely shut down,
